During the Ukrainian National Republic (UNR) era, he served in the Ministry of Land Affairs before relocating to Lviv, where he contributed to the library of the Scientific Society named after Shevchenko. Subsequently, he experienced a period of unemployment after being laid off due to staff reductions after seven years of service. He then ventured to Lublin and Kraków, where he worked for the daily newspaper Kraków News and served as an editor for publications such as "Our Word" in Berest and "Pinska Pravda" in Pinsk. Following his emigration to Germany in 1944, he collaborated with magazines such as "Church and Life" and "Golos" despite enduring imprisonment by the Gestapo, from which he narrowly escaped.
