Pavlo Petrovych Skoropadskyi (1873 – 1945) was a Ukrainian aristocrat, military leader, and statesman. He held the rank of General in both the Imperial Russian Army and the Ukrainian Army, with Cossack heritage. Skoropadskyi assumed the position of Hetman of all Ukraine after a coup on April 29, 1918.
