A signed copy of the illustrated artist's monograph, featuring a cover that shows slight signs of wear. A hardcover copy with a lithograph affixed to the front cover and enhanced with embossed lettering. 40 pages: plates (illustrations).
Ucha (Ilya) Malakievich Japaridze (1906-1988) was a Georgian painter and graphic artist who held the title of People's Artist of the USSR. He was also known for his contributions to fine arts through articles published in various periodicals. In his earlier works, one can discern the influence of Lado Gudiashvili. Notably, for his painting titled "Farewell" (1957, privately held in the USA), he was awarded a silver medal at the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels.
