95 pages. 32mo (10.5 x 14.5 cm). Text in Belarus. The first author's book published in a displaced persons (DP) camp in Germany. Exlibris of Prof. A. A. Granovsky, with his owner inscription on cover, title and first page. Wrappers lightly stained. Very good copy.

The author was arrested and exiled to Kolyma in 1936; in June 1941 brought to Minsk for a retrial, with the approach of the German army convoy was allowed to go. Rehabilitated 22 January 1992. During the German occupation he lived with parents. In October 1943 he moved to Bialystok, collaborated with the newspaper "New Road". In 1944 he went to Berlin and lived in displaced persons (DP) camps in Germany. He taught in the Belarusian Gymnasium in Mihelsdorfe. Masei Siadniou moved to the United States in 1950. About 10 years he worked on metalworking plants, taught Russian at the University of Indyyanskim. From 1968 he lived and worked in Munich, the chief editor of "Svoboda" radio station. In 1983 he retired and returned to the United States.
