Viktor Mikhaylovich Vasnetsov (1848 – 1926) was a Russian artist renowned for his specialization in mythological and historical themes. He is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Russian folkloric and romantic nationalist painting, playing a pivotal role in the Russian Revivalist movement.
