Pavel Vasilyevich Surikov (1897-1943), a Russian Soviet artist who commenced his professional artistic career during the 1920s and 1930s, is part of a generation of young and gifted painters whose creations remained unnoticed by the official authorities, resulting in them being overlooked and neglected for many years.
As of December 2023, OCLC records show that there are only two institutional copies of this item in North America: one is held at the Frick Art Reference Library and the other at Princeton University Library.
