Vystavka khudozhestvennykh proizvedenii k desiatiletnemu iubileiu oktiabrskoi revoliutsii [Exhibition of Artworks for the Tenth Anniversary of the October Revolution]
Moscow: Exhibition Committee's Publication, 1928. Publisher’s wrappers. Item #665
17 x 12 cm. 19 pages. Text in Russian. One of 2000 copies. A good copy with a bit of a chipped corner.
The scarce and hard-to-find catalog encompasses 230 artworks created by renowned artists, many of whom were prominent figures of the 1920s. However, owing to the significant presence of individuals labeled as "enemies of the people" in the exhibition, such as Altman's portrait of A. Rykov and Andreev's bronze bust of N. Bukharin, the book was eventually seized and destroyed within a few years of its publication.
As of December 2023, OCLC records indicate that there are only two institutional holdings of this catalog, with one located at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the other at the Getty.
