Book measures: 25.8 x 17.6 cm. Text in Russian. The books display a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall good antiquarian condition; any age defects that may be present seem easy to overlook or forgive. Still attractive on the shelf.

The World's History: A Survey of Man's Record, edited by the German historian Hans F. Helmolt (1865-1929), is a unique illustrated edition, an example of a classic work on world history, the relevance of which has not been lost to this day. The integrity of the general concept and an excellent selection of color and black-and-white illustrations and maps distinguish this encyclopedic work. Leading German historians took part in writing the articles: G. Adler, T. Achelis, K. Branlis, K. Klein, R. Mayr, I. Ranke, F. Ratzel, A. Tille, and others, which contributed to a diverse approach to world history; the results of paleontological research and archaeological excavations were used.
