Alexander D. Bilimovich - professor, academician, and one of the leading mathematicians of the Russian diaspora. He was a world-famous scientist who published over 80 works in emigration on mechanics, geometry, and mathematics. In science circles, his name is also known for being the first to apply vector methods in mechanics. Before the October Revolution, Bilimovich was a professor at Kyiv University; during the Civil War, he lived and worked in Novorossiysk, where he was the rector of Novorossiysk University. After the fall of Denikin, he was evacuated to Belgrade, where he lived and worked as a professor at the University of Belgrade. In the 1950s, he lived in the United States.
