The book "Petersburg" by the famous architectural historian, one of the founders of the Museum of Old Petersburg, Professor Vladimir Yakovlevich Kurbatov (1878–1957), is one of the first attempts at a detailed architectural guide to the streets of the city. Like the architecture of St. Petersburg, to which it is dedicated, this book is also an attractive cultural monument.
