Four-volume set in the original illustrated cardboard slipcase featuring stenciled reproduction of ink caricatured self-portrait by Kharms. Limited edition; one of 100 copies [No. 77]. Illustrated and signed by the book designer Stanislav Zhitskii. Edited by Vladimir Iosifovich Glotser. Very good condition.

Stas (Stanislav Vladimirovich) Zhitskii - a Russian designer and jeweler. From 1986 worked as a stage artist (scenography and costumes), book designer, and illustrator. By the early 1990s, Stas has designed and illustrated over thirty books, including four special editions of short stories by Daniil Kharms (1991). In 1989 – 1995 actively engaged in various contemporary arts, including the “ART-BLYA” group. Participated in over thirty exhibitions (ten of which were solo) in Europe and Russia.

Vladimir Iosifovich Glotser ( July 27, 1931 - April 19, 2009 ) - Soviet and Russian literary critic. He worked as a literary secretary for Korney Chukovsky and Samuel Marshak. Glotser was mainly engaged in research and publication of the writers of the group OBERIU (Association of Real Art) - Daniil Kharms , Nikolai Oleinikov , Alexander Vvedensky . In 1980, he recorded and published the memoirs of A. I. Poret about D. I. Kharms, which became one of the most popular sources about the poet's life. After finding the widow of Daniil Harms, Marina Durnovo, who lived in Venezuela, prepared a literary record of her memoirs, “My husband Daniil Harms” ( 2000 ). The book was awarded the literary prize of the New World magazine and has survived three editions (2000, 2001, 2005). In 2012, he published a posthumous book prepared by him about Daniil Harms, “This is Harms!”, Which included the books he collected from 1962 to 2006. memoirs of contemporaries of the writer. Largely thanks to his works, the work of Daniil Kharms and the writers of the OBERIU group gained fame in Russia and abroad.
