A rare, privately issued memorial tribute published by the Order of Imperial Union of Russia following the death of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich (1917–1992), Head of the Russian Imperial House in exile for 54 years. Edited with contributions by Petr N. Koltypin-Wallovskiy (Head of the Order), Ivan I. Bilibin (Head of the Field Chancellery), and Prof. Konstantin (Richard) DesRosiers, the volume documents the Grand Duke's final days, his historical legacy as leader of the monarchist movement, and the April–May 1992 funeral ceremonies in St. Petersburg—the first imperial burial in the Peter and Paul Fortress since the 1917 Revolution. Illustrated with actual mounted color photographs alongside black-and-white plates, the publication captures the solemn services at St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, the honor guard in Imperial Russian Army uniforms, and the associated civic receptions at the Tauride Palace.
