Large-format theatrical poster advertising a performance by Gromov and Milich, a popular satirical duo active in Odesa and the early Soviet theatrical milieu. Printed in Odesa in 1923, during the NEP period, the poster combines caricatural imagery with emphatic typography and a dynamic diagonal composition characteristic of contemporary Soviet graphic design.

The comedy duo of Nikolai Gromov and Vladimir Milich was a mainstay of early 20th-century Russian and Soviet estrada (stage entertainment), acclaimed for their sharp topical humor, satirical sketches, and witty rhymed couplets. Emerging from the vibrant theatrical scene of Odessa during the revolutionary era, the pair gained immense popularity for their satirical reviews of local life and political absurdities, including their famous 1919 routine "Our Telephone". As they toured stage and variety venues across the early USSR during the NEP era, their performances offered a rare public outlet for lighthearted social critique, blending classic cabaret and circus-jester traditions with the emerging pop culture of the Soviet 1920s.
