A visually striking group of eight postcards depicting Vladivostok, issued during the period of Siberian intervention of 1918–1922 in the Russian Far East following the Russian Revolution and Civil War. The postcards feature bilingual English-Japanese captions and document some of the city's most important streets, public buildings, and commercial landmarks, including: 1. Kitaiskaya Street; 2. View of the Bazaar from Aleutskaya Street; 3. View of the Railway Station from Svetlanskaya Street; 4. Post Office on Svetlanskaya Street; 5. Imperial Bank of Russia; 6. Czechoslovak Army Headquarters; 7. Telegraph Office on Kitaiskaya Street; 8. Commercial Pier. The postcards are generally in very good condition, with light age toning, minor corner wear, and occasional small pinholes and handling marks. Dimensions: 8.9 x 13.9 cm.
