A finely printed Easter postcard by the celebrated Russian artist Elisabeth (Elizabeth) Böhm (1843–1914), depicting two children in traditional dress accompanied by a festive Easter greeting in Old Russian script. Postally used from Nice, France, with a French stamp and cancellation. Addressed to Nadezhda Viktorovna Tolstaya (Countess Tolstoy), née Princess Volkonskaya, a member of one of Imperial Russia’s most distinguished aristocratic families. The reverse bears a handwritten Easter greeting in Russian. Dimensions: 8.8 x 13.8 cm. Very good.
