Signed copy of the fourth poetry collection by Volodymyr Yanyv (1908–1991)—Ukrainian scholar, literary critic, and poet associated with the émigré intellectual community of postwar Europe. Born in Lviv, Yanyv was active in Ukrainian nationalist circles in his youth and later became an influential figure in Ukrainian academic life in exile. From the 1940s he lived in Germany, where he taught at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich, later serving as a professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Rome.
