Signed émigré memoir by Volodymyr Sikevych (1870–1952), a general-khorunzhyi of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UNR), military commander, and political activist involved in the Ukrainian struggle for independence during the revolutionary years of 1917–1921.

Drawing on the author’s personal recollections and travel lectures, Storinky iz zapysnoi knyzhky presents episodic memoirs of Ukrainian officers and soldiers, descriptions of military campaigns, and reflections on the political and national struggles of the period. Sikevych combines personal narrative with broader commentary on the fate of Ukraine and the ideals of the independence movement.
