Original color illustrated wrappers with light shelf wear and minor edgewear; slight creasing to corners and light age toning along margins. Interior is clean and well-preserved. Binding sound. Signed and inscribed by the author on the dedication page, dated Christmas 1966.

A signed Ukrainian émigré children’s book by Lesia Khraplyva (Lesia Khraplyva-Shchur), one of the most prominent Ukrainian diaspora authors writing for young readers. Issued in New York in 1965, the volume forms the second collection in the series Viter z Ukrainy, presenting stories designed for school-age children and intended to preserve Ukrainian cultural memory among émigré youth. Khraplyva authored more than twenty books for children and youth, many of which were later reprinted in independent Ukraine.
