Privately printed and the sole émigré commemorative edition issued for the 75th anniversary of the Odessa Cadet Corps, this substantial memorial volume was compiled over eight years by former cadets in exile, representing both the Imperial Russian and later Yugoslav periods of the institution. Rich in firsthand memoirs, regimental chronicles, and scarce photographic material, it traces the Corps’ founding, daily cadet life, European travels (including France, Switzerland, and the Balkans), evacuation amid the Revolution, and the difficult years of displacement abroad. Particularly valuable are eyewitness reminiscences of the Imperial era and the Russian Civil War, including encounters with members of the Imperial family and prominent White Army commanders.

Octavo (25 x 17 cm.), 365, 60 pages; illustrated throughout with black-and-white photographs, portraits, and documentary reproductions; appendix with comprehensive rolls of cadets and staff. Publisher’s illustrated blue wrappers bearing cadet insignia. A good copy: wrappers creased with rubbing and edgewear; text block clean, internally sound, and firmly bound.
