Art magazine introducing the modern Ukrainian artists, such as Oleksa Povstenko, Mykhaylo Dmytrenko, S. Kolomiyets, Antin Maliutsa, as well as articles about the Ukrainian art, its styles and formats, traditions, development and problems, as well as artistic essays. It also features a series of reviews of the most important Ukrainian exhibitions in German and Austrian camps for the displaced persons (DP camps) in the years 1945-46.

The post-war artist collective Ukrainska Spilka Obrazotvorchykh Mysttsiv (The Ukrainian Union of Fine Artists) is an art association that founded in Munich in early 1947 and operated until 1951, with Edward Kozak as its chairman. The union brought together artists from different artistic fields, who then lived mainly in displaced persons' camps in Germany and Austria.
