This volume reproduces 277 official documents from the White Army's judicial investigation into the execution of Nicholas II and his family. Compiled by Nikolai Ross from the archive of General M. K. Diterikhs, these materials span from July 1918 through early 1920. It includes forensic reports, testimonies from guards and attendants (including Volkov, Chemodurov, and Letemin), and internal communications. The documents were originally collected during the White occupation of the Urals and are among the earliest systematic efforts to document the Romanov murders. Illustrated with 105 black-and-white images, including rare photographs of the Ipatiev House, the Four Brothers mine shafts, and key investigation sites. The volume also features a subject index and reproduces relevant articles from the Russian criminal code applied in the proceedings.
