Item #1452

A significant and largely complete run of Posev, the official organ of the National Alliance of Russian Solidarists (NTS), one of the longest-running and most influential anti-Soviet journals published in the Russian diaspora. This set includes uniformly bound annual volumes from 1968 to 1997 in maroon cloth with gilt spine lettering, complemented by approximately 25 loose issues spanning 1995–2002. Condition overall is Very Good to Near Fine, with solid bindings, clean interiors, and minor occasional foxing or shelfwear.

Founded in 1945 near Kassel, Germany, Posev became a central voice of émigré resistance to Soviet totalitarianism, noted for its incisive political commentary, documentation of dissident activity, samizdat circulation, and publication of banned texts, including writings by Sakharov and Grossman. Restructured as a monthly in 1968, the journal continued to be smuggled into the USSR and condemned in Soviet media. Its editorial operations moved to Moscow following the collapse of the Soviet Union, where it persisted under challenging post-Soviet conditions. A cornerstone reference for scholars of Cold War-era dissidence and Russian political émigré culture.
