A faithful facsimile reprint of the rare 1902 edition, published in Jordanville by the Holy Trinity Monastery in 1960. This spiritual memoir by Vasilii Ivanovich Meshcherskii, later Archimandrite Evdokim (1869–1935), documents his pilgrimage to Kronstadt and encounter with Saint John of Kronstadt (1829–1908). The text, cast in the form of a student’s diary, offers a personal and evocative portrait of the saint, vividly describing his home, prayerful atmosphere, and liturgical ministry. A key devotional text with early 20th-century illustrations and typesetting faithfully preserved, this edition was issued under the auspices of the Ioann Kronstadtskii Fund and Bishop Averkii (Taushev) of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
