First edition of this controversial and rare memoir by Constantine Kromiadi (1893–1990), former White officer, émigré publicist, and key figure in the Russian Liberation Army (ROA) during World War II. This collection of articles, essays, and unpublished autobiographical texts offers a unique insider’s account of the activities surrounding the Vlasov movement and the efforts of anti-Soviet Russian émigrés under German occupation. Published with the support of the Union for the Liberation of the Peoples of Russia (SBONR), the book is of particular documentary value for its inclusion of rare photographs and documents related to the Russian collaborationist underground.
