A rare samizdat memorial volume dedicated to Yuri Timofeyevich Galanskov (1939–1972), a Soviet dissident poet, publicist, and key figure in the underground literary movement of the 1960s. Galanskov was arrested for his involvement in publishing the uncensored literary journal Phoenix-66, and died in a Soviet labor camp under suspicious circumstances. This book, printed in Oslo shortly after his death, was compiled in the USSR and clandestinely circulated via samizdat. It includes his poems (some of which were not translated and are retained in the original), biographical reflections, and visual documentation of his short life, including portraits from childhood to adulthood.

The work was produced in cooperation with Possev-Verlag (Frankfurt am Main), with English translation published by Byrne in Norway. This volume is a poignant example of émigré publishing and Cold War-era literary resistance.
