A rare and invaluable historical account of the tragic fate and heroic defense of Mughan—a remote Russian-settled region on the Persian border—by patriotic defenders during the Russian Civil War. This first edition is based on the author's wartime diary, which miraculously survived, along with preserved copies of field notebooks, official reports, newspaper clippings, and military orders. To further ensure accuracy, the author later corresponded with surviving participants, gathering additional firsthand accounts.

Printed using a lithographic press in an extremely limited edition of just 100 copies, the book includes reproductions of period newspaper articles and photographs affixed at the end of the text block. A crucial historical document. Savin No. 00117.

The only copy we have been able to trace on the market sold at auction in 2017 for $700.
