A historical novel about Russian explorers and the Russian-American Company by Boris Platonovich Iurkevich, published under the pseudonym Bashilov in a Russian camp for dispalced persons presumably in 1947. In the post-war period, Russian displaced persons living in camps across Europe managed to create a thriving print culture, despite facing strict censorship and resource shortages. Their rare publications offer critical insights into the intellectual life of displaced communities.
