Ivan Krypiakevych (1886–1967) was a prominent Ukrainian historian and scholar. He earned his doctorate from Lviv University in 1911 and became a full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSh) and the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Krypiakevych authored over 500 works, focusing on Ukrainian history, historiography, and culture. Other notable publications include "Bohdan Khmelnytsky" (1954), "The History of Ukrainian Culture" (1937), and "The Great History of Ukraine" (1935). He also edited several periodicals and wrote historical stories for children.
