A concise analysis of Ukrainian political developments up until the end of the 18th century. Zinoviy Knysh (1906–1999) was a prominent Ukrainian political figure, historian, and nationalist. Born in Kolomyia, he earned a doctorate in law and political science from Lviv University in 1930. He was an active member of the Ukrainian Military Organization (UVO) and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). After multiple imprisonments for his nationalist activities, Knysh continued his political work in exile, playing a significant role in OUN’s leadership in Western Europe and Canada. His scholarly contributions, particularly concerning UVO and OUN, provide critical insight into Ukrainian political history. Knysh authored several historical and autobiographical works, and he is remembered for his significant role in Ukrainian émigré politics.
