A post-war émigré edition of Povesti Belkina by Pushkin, published by Khutor, a small publishing house that operated in Prague from 1922 to 1949 under the direction of Aleksei Grigorievich Vinnychuk. Despite operating during the fascist regime, Khutor published Russian classics for the Russian-speaking émigré community in Europe. This edition is a rare example of Russian émigré literature from the 1940s.
