21 cm. 93 pages. Text in Russian. From Latin, corrected and supplemented with necessary notes at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This book shows significant wear, with a heavily scuffed marbled cover, chipped and cracked leather spine, and fraying corners. The binding is fragile but intact, and the text remains legible.

A 1827 edition of a polemical religious treatise by Samuel, the Rabbi of Morocco, translated from Latin and supplemented with notes. It consists of letters addressed to Rabbi Isaac of Córdoba, arguing against certain Judaic beliefs, particularly the observance of Mosaic law and the expectation of the Messiah. The book was published at the Synodal Printing House in Saint Petersburg, with an earlier Latin version having been corrected and expanded at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
