This 25 cm Ukrainian-language children's book, "The Elephant Starts a War", is a charming poem featuring playful and whimsical illustrations by Yurii Kulchytsky. Spanning [14] pages, the story follows the adventures of an elephant in Africa, brought to life with lively depictions of various animals. Part of the "Library for School-Aged Children" series, No. 3, the book is in very good condition, with light foxing on the cover and interior pages and minimal wear along the edges. A stamp from "St. John the Baptist Church, Ottawa, Ontario" is present on several pages.

As of August 2024, OCLC records only two institutional copies, held at the University of Toronto and the University of Minnesota.
