Myron Levytsky (1913–1993) was a distinguished painter, iconographer, graphic artist, illustrator, editor, and author. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, he studied at the Novakyvsky Art School and the Cracow Academy of Arts before working as a book illustrator and editor in Lviv. After emigrating to Canada in 1949, Levytsky became a key figure in Ukrainian-Canadian art, working as an illustrator and art editor for Ivan Tyktor Publishing in Winnipeg. He later moved to Toronto and spent time in Paris, where he held his first solo exhibition at Galerie Ror Volmar in 1958.
