This second edition, reissued in 1977, presents E. de-Witte's vivid travel impressions from the summer of 1903 in Bukovina and Galicia. Featuring historical sketches, it provides an in-depth exploration of the cultural and historical landscape, highlighting the interactions among various ethnic and religious groups. The original edition was published by T. G. Meinander in Kyiv in 1904.
