The first Ukrainian edition in book form of Anna Akhmatova's Requiem. Anna Akhmatova is considered to be one of the most outstanding Russian poets-lyricists of the 20th century. This collection was written and self-published in 1935-1940, years of horrible Stalin regime. Her son was arrested and exiled to a prison in Leningrad for seventeen months. Her terrible sufferings during this time, Akhmatova expressed in her collection of poems Requiem. She was expelled from the Union of Writers of the USSR in 1946.
