Octavo (19 × 14 cm). 8 pages; b/w vignettes in the text. The wrappers is decorated by hand and made in pochoir technique. Light wear to upper/lower edges; internally good.

A famous fairy tale printed in France for the Russian diaspora, with illustrations by the ten-year-old Zhenya Kovarskaya. Zhenya and her parents Ily and Lidiia Kovarskii left Soviet Russian after the October Revolution in 1917.
